Pelham Travel Softball

Pelham Travel Softball offers a more competitive experience for players who want to develop their skills and compete against other towns. We offer travel teams for girls in the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U divisions.

How Travel Softball Works

Travel softball divisions are based on birth year, not school grade. This is different from Little League baseball, which often uses different cutoff dates.

To find your player’s softball age, use the official USSSA Age Calculator:

USSSA Fastpitch Age Calculator (https://www.usssa.com/fastpitch/ageCalculator)

Players move up to the next age division in the fall season, even if they’re eligible to remain in the same division in the summer. This helps players adjust to the next level ahead of the following spring season.

Here is a general guide to how divisions are structured:

  • 8U – Players who are 8 years old or younger as of August 31 of the current year
  • 10U – Players who are 9 or 10 years old
  • 12U – Players who are 11 or 12 years old
  • 14U – Players who are 13 or 14 years old
  • 16U – Players who are 15 or 16 years old

Depending on registration numbers, some teams may be combined (e.g., 12U and 14U), but we try to keep age groups separate when possible.
